Taken in the fall of 2004, that's Larry Silverstein's 7WTC rising high, shortly before the 'topping-out' party. Mr. Silverstein could have stuck the insurance money in his pocket, but he decided to rebuild, even without a major tenant. We salute his patriotism and his 'chutzpah'. The Verizon building, to the left, still has netting on the top as damage repair is still ongoing to this landmarked building. Directly in front, the multi-leveled structure in the 'pit' is part of the WTC garage, which will be retained as a memorial.
