1999 New York City Marathon

| I live in Brooklyn near where the world's most famous
marathon comes flashing by. What makes this location even more interesting is that the
women and men leaders run on separate sides of the avenue, so it is possible to see the
leaders of each running separately. The NYC Marathon has developed into a real 'scene';
millions of New Yorkers of all races, backgrounds, and incomes get out on the street
together to cheer on the world-class runners as well as their friends, relatives, and
countrymen. Technical notes: Nikon N90s and F5 with 300/4 ED-IF or 80-200 AF-S. |
